2009 FilOil Flying V Preseason Tournament

UP Fighting Maroons almost beats DLSU Green Archers 67-66 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan. Mike Silungan led UP with 26 points, while Woody Co and Martin Reyes combined for 20 points. Although UP lost, it was a big improvement from their game against JRU last saturday.

Magi Sison did not play due to being part of the Smart-Gilas National Team whose currently training in Las Vegas, USA.

3 former UPIS standouts played for La Salle in this game, Maui Villanueva, Samuel Marata and Joel Tolentino.
