The last time UP won against FEU was in 2004 and the UP Fighting Maroons ended their 12 game losing streak against the FEU Tamaraws, 76-63, and notched their 2nd win in 5 games. 2nd year guard Jett Manuel from Xavier led the Maroons with 20 points (5/8 from the field and 9/11 from the free throw line).

Mike Silungan had an all-around game with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists while CSB transferee Jelo Montecastro and Nigerian-Rookie Alinko Mbah both contributed 14 points in a big win for the Maroons.

Our prayer goes to one of the most avid supporters of the UP Fighting Maroons for many years, Tintin Gregorio-Macadaeg (only 34 yrs old), who passed away last Monday due to Breast Cancer. She was the youngest sister of former UP Head Coach Ryan Gregorio. Condolences to the Gregorio family. This win is for you! Continue reading
