UAAP Season 73 Round 2
UP Fighting Maroons vs De La Salle Green Archers
La Salle wins 84-63
Another bad news for the Maroons as Mark Lopez suffered a knee injury (possible ACL) and Woody Co sprained his ankle as La Salle pulled away in the second half to beat UP, 84-63. Alvin Padilla did not play this game as he is serving his one game suspension from incurring 2 unsportsmanlike fouls, the latest against Ateneo.
Let us all pray for Mark Lopez and Woody Co that they did not suffer season ending injuries and I know that with these injuries and another loss, the team is really down, we hope that they can still bounce back in their last 5 games.

The team is down no doubt. But as alumni of both UPIS and UP Diliman, there is more reason for us to support the boys in their remaining five games. Am I glad that the game this Sunday againt NU Bulldogs is a separate program from that of the Ateneo-La Salle game. We intend to watch our second live game of the Fighting Maroons this Sundays.
No matter what, let’s go UP pa rin!
despite all the negative things happening with the team… they still have 5 more games this season and it is enough reason to support the FIGHTING MAROONS till the end… speedy recovery for both Mark Lopez and Woody Co…
Go Fighting Maroons… we will support you ’til the end! ‘I will stand by the UP Fighting Maroons whether they win or lose!’. It’s just sad that both Mark Lopez and Woody Co would not be playing anymore for this season esp. Woody because it’s his last season in UAAP. )’: Thanks alot to Woody Co for sharing his skill as a PROUD MAROON! and for being a great captain for the team. We will miss you playing for UP. get well soon for the two! (:
i still love UP Fighting Maroons whatever may happen. go guys.. i watch all your games..
As intimated here, I watched the UP-NU game yesterday, the one that we lost 61-59. I don’t think the protest will prosper. The sad part is that UP could have won the game had Dionisio Hipolito hit those two free throws with 2 seconds left and NU leading only by one point, 60-59.
UP Fighting Maroons pa rin!!!
