UP Fighting Maroons had another close game win beating UPHS 89-86 and for the 1st time in 3 years of playing in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Tournament will enter the quarterfinal round with a 5-2 record. Rookie Mike Silungan had another outstanding game with 22pts and a couple of crucial baskets in the 4th quarter.
Quarterfinals will start on June 9, the UP Men’s Basketball Team will leave for the US in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 22 for training.

- Martin Reyes had another good game contributing 17pts, while in the game yesterday he scored 20pts.
