The FEU tamaraws started strong beating the UP Fighting Maroons 86-74. The lead ballooned to 22 points at the start of the 4th quarter but UP cut the lead to 9 with 2 minutes left but just like the game vs UST, they ran out of time catching up.
Rookie Mikee Reyes who was hot the last game vs La Salle was a non-factor scoring just 2 points. Woody Co led UP with 24 points and another good game by Mark Lopez contributing 16 points. Alvin Padilla who played despite having a 3rd degree sprain a week ago had 14 points and a season high 6 steals.

Just wondering why coach Aboy has not been fielding players like Marfori and Gamboa. Marfori’s big and I think capable of banging bodies with with FEU’s big boys. Gamboa’s smart and has experience and can give valuable minutes when the other guards are on the bench. Any thoughts on this from the gallery?
